Lesson 1.1

Welcome to DobieCore Learn: Practical AI for Small Business

Practical AI, one conversation at a time.

Welcome

Thank you for purchasing the DobieCore Learn: Practical AI for Small Business Course.

This course helps small business owners, freelancers, and solopreneurs use AI as a practical business assistant.

Each lesson helps you think clearly, communicate effectively, and spend less time staring at a blank page.

Use these lessons to draft website copy, social posts, ideas, and customer communications with a stronger starting point.

Before You Begin

AI works best when you give it good information. Think of it this way:

AI is an assistant, not a mind reader.

The more context you provide, the better your results will be.

What You’ll Find

Inside this course, you’ll find guided AI conversations organized by practical business needs, including:

  • Business Clarity
  • Website Copy
  • Social Media
  • Customer Communication
  • Offers & Promotions
  • Reviews & Testimonials
  • AI Review Prompts

Each prompt follows the same format, so you always know what information to gather before you begin.

Every Lesson Includes

Each lesson contains:

  • ✔ Purpose
  • ✔ Use This When
  • ✔ Before You Start
  • ✔ Conversation Prompt (Starting 1.3)
  • ✔ Dobie Tip 🐾
  • ✔ Expected Result
  • ✔ Common Mistakes
  • ✔ Why This Matters
  • 🛑 Save This
  • ✔ Coming Up Next

If a lesson’s prompt requires an image, document, or existing content, it will clearly tell you before you begin.

A Few Tips for Better Results

Be Specific

Instead of saying:

Write me a Facebook post.

Try:

Write a friendly Facebook post for my local coffee shop announcing fresh bagel, sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches available Tuesday morning.

Give AI Context

Tell the AI:

  • who your customers are
  • where you’re located (if applicable)
  • your business personality
  • your goals

Upload Images First

If a lesson asks you to analyze an image, upload it before running the prompt. AI cannot accurately describe images it cannot see.

Paste Existing Content

If you’re improving a website, blog post, email, or document, paste the existing content first. The AI can only improve what it has access to.

Ask Follow-Up Questions

The first answer is rarely the final answer. Try asking:

  • Make it shorter.
  • Make it friendlier.
  • Give me three more options.
  • Rewrite this for first-time customers.
  • Explain this in plain English.

Think of AI as a conversation, not a vending machine.

A Note from Melanie

I built these lessons from real client work and real business conversations.

They are designed to solve practical problems that small business owners face every day.

My goal isn’t to replace your expertise.

It’s to help you spend less time fighting the blank page and more time growing your business.

I hope these lessons become one more useful tool in your toolbox.

Thank you for supporting a small business.
